VMware Receives Broad Industry Support from Leading Software Companies and Open Source Platform Providers

BMC Software, Citrix, Computer Associates, IBM Software Group, Novell, Oracle, Red Hat, SUSE LINUX and VERITAS Join VMware's Growing Partner Ecosystem

PALO ALTO, Calif., October 21, 2003 - VMware, Inc., the global leader in virtual machine software for industry-standard systems, today announced growing support from a host of leading software companies, including BMC Software, Citrix, Computer Associates, IBM Software Group (DB2*, Rational*, Tivoli*, Websphere*), Novell, Oracle and VERITAS, and open source platform providers, including Red Hat and SUSE LINUX. These leading software vendors and open source platform providers offer support for their products running in VMware virtual machines and, in some instances, have developed integrations with selected VMware products. In the case of open source platform providers, Red Hat and SUSE LINUX both support VMware products running on their version of the Linux operating system.
