Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) organizations are accelerating the shift to modern private cloud – driven by rising demand for AI, data security, and scalable infrastructure. According to Broadcom’s Private Cloud Outlook 2025: Asia Pacific and Japan, The Cloud Reset, 88% of APJ organizations trust private cloud for the security and compliance of their workloads. But, cloud transformation doesn’t happen in isolation. It requires deep expertise and trusted partners who can guide customers through the complexity – from Day 0 planning to Day 2 operations and beyond.

At Broadcom, we see professional services partners as strategic enablers for customer success at every stage of customers’ journey. They provide deep expertise, local context, and trusted collaboration as an extension of our services capabilities. They help customers navigate the complexity that comes with cloud transformation, support deployment with confidence, and continuously optimize their infrastructure to unlock long-term value.

Role of Services Partners in APJ

In Asia Pacific and Japan, where market maturity varies widely, the demand for consulting services engagement is growing rapidly. Research shows that 30% of organizations cite a lack of in-house skills/expertise as a barrier to private cloud adoption, while 83% depend on professional services for cloud-related needs.

Professional services partners are essential to enabling organizations to move from fragmented, siloed IT infrastructures to a truly integrated cloud operating model. This transformation hinges on three key principles:

  • End-to End-Transformation Achieving true transformation goes beyond simply implementing isolated solutions. It requires a comprehensive, end-to-end architectural strategy that seamlessly integrates infrastructure, applications, and operations. Partners are instrumental in this journey, providing guidance to customers throughout the entire transformation process. From initial discovery and solution design to deployment, adoption, and value realization, they ensure a cohesive and effective transition across the entire technology stack.
  • ‘De-siloed’ Organizations Many organizations still operate in silos, with each business unit or workload managed independently. Taking a platform approach to infrastructure requires removal of these silos and reorganizing through transformation of people and processes. Research shows close to 80% of organizations are now structuring their technical organizations around a platform team. This change management requires deep engagement with professional services and advisory support. Our partners help break down these silos by aligning cloud adoption with cross-functional goals, thus enabling a more agile collaborative environment with advisory capabilities.
  • Enabling the Right Cloud Operating Model The right cloud operating model allows organizations to shift from reactive infrastructure management to a proactive platform-centric approach to cloud. With VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), our services partners are helping customers do exactly that – by modernizing how we build, operate, consume, and protect IT resources, applications, and services. The trusted formula of success is Customer + Partner + VMware technology resources. This is taking IT from being a cost centre to a catalyst of business innovation.

For example, an Australian Organisation in Canberra has partnered with Broadcom and Emanate, a trusted Broadcom services partner, to deliver a secure, scalable private cloud built on VCF. This environment supports a significant portion of the customers critical workloads and is designed to meet stringent security and compliance requirements. Our architects, consultants and technical adoption managers work seamlessly alongside the partner's team, forming a cohesive delivery model that continues to evolve the platform's capability, resilience and operational efficiency in support of the customer's objectives.

In another case, a leading financial services provider was supported by Indus Systems & Services, our services partner in India, to provide VMware-powered solutions that enabled the customer to overcome critical challenges and achieve transformative business outcomes. By modernizing their IT infrastructure, the organization enhanced security, streamlined disaster recovery, and optimized user experiences.

Whether it’s deploying VCF or optimizing complex hybrid cloud environments, our Services partners in APJ are delivering measurable outcomes. Their deep local insight, combined with Broadcom’s robust cloud platform, is driving faster time to value, improved business alignment and long term transformation for customers. Investing in Skills, Scale and Services

Broadcom invests in partners who are committed to delivering real value for our customers. To scale through partners, we are actively upleveling partner capabilities through free training, certifications, and targeted enablement programs.  In late May, we hosted a region-wide APJ event in Korea to enable both sales and technical teams across our partner ecosystem. This included the first Knights event in APJ. Broadcom Knights are highly technical experts who have advanced training and certification requirements. They are masters when it comes to the ins and outs associated with sales, pre-sales, implementation, architecture and support for Broadcom’s software solutions. The event consisted of a comprehensive five-day deep technical training that culminated in advanced certifications for participating partners.  Ongoing initiatives, such as field training and technical certifications, are further building partner expertise.

The Broadcom Expert Advantage Program (EAP) empowers our services partners to accelerate time-to-value and deliver measurable business outcomes.  EAP partners also gain access to the Insights platform, at expert.broadcom.com, where they can highlight their service capabilities and showcase how they’ve successfully supported other customers.

As we look into the future with VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0, and the excitement among customers to further their private cloud journey with VMware’s technology, we will continue to work with our partners to deliver stronger business outcomes for customers we jointly serve.
