中国北京5月15日—— 今天在北京举办的见面活动中，联想与VMware宣告双方将加强全方位合作，联合推动业务的持续发展，助力数字经济发展。在加强本地化研发及联合市场推广、数据中心业务拓展、提升边缘计算方案能力、开拓中国多云市场、为客户提供订阅式服务等多维度开展合作深耕。
• 双方进一步加强已持续数年的本地化研发工作，为客户提供符合本地化需求的虚拟化和超融合产品。过去几年，双方联合开发并推向市场的联想软件定义基础设施管理软件获得了中国用户的好评。在已有的研发积累上，双方将进一步完善并加强产品性能，使其成为用户的国产化优选。
• 在数据中心业务合作方面，双方将从计算虚拟化向全数据中心计算、存储、网络、安全多维度的数字化方向拓展，为用户不断涌现的多样化算力需求提供支持。
• 在边缘计算领域，VMware技术将能够助力联想的智能边缘解决方案进一步落地，将云化能力从数据中心向边缘侧移动，更加高效、安全的从底层支持各行各业业务需求。
• 随着更灵活、高效的多云时代来临，双方将基于VMware跨云服务，充分发掘中国的多云机遇。
• 联想将助力推动VMware在中国订阅式业务的发展，以回应日渐增强的按需扩充、随买随用的市场需求。

合作全面深入
早在2008年，联想与VMware就开展了OEM的战略合作，并从2019年以来建立了长久的战略合作伙伴关系。双方就联合市场计划、联合销售、联合研发等进行了一系列紧密合作，收获了业内口碑与客户的认可。2022年11月，联想受邀出席“云上时代 砥丽前行”VMware合作伙伴高层峰会，并在会上被授予“VMware年度最佳合作伙伴”称号。
联想与VMware的紧密合作，结下了累累硕果。双方共同打造的ThinkAgile VX超融合一体机已为国内近400家各行业企业提供技术领先的超融合解决方案。在软件业务方面，双方已在中国为2000多个客户提供了卓越的全栈软件定义解决方案。联想与VMware联合开发了软硬一体超融合管理控制平台HCI Portal，实现统一的本地化、定制化、可视化一体大屏管理，目前已有超过200多个客户使用，涵盖金融、制造、医疗，政府，教育等行业，并在行业、产品和研发层面积累了丰富的软硬件平台处理经验。
伴随着5G、工业互联网、云计算、人工智能等的迅猛发展，边缘计算、云网融合、订阅化算力已成为热门议题。在这样的智能化发展大潮中，联想和VMware双方优势互补、为客户提供更完善的产品、服务与解决方案。

Beijing CHINA, May 15, 2023 – Together at an event in Beijing today, Lenovo and VMware announced plans to strengthen the comprehensive collaboration to drive business growth together and help support the digital economy of China. Both parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in local R&D and joint go to market activities that accelerate, data center, multi-cloud and edge computing, and help customers transition to subscription-based services.
- Lenovo and VMware will further enhance the local R&D efforts that have been made for several years to provide virtualization and hyperconverged offerings meeting the needs in China. Over the past few years, the Lenovo Software Defined Infrastructure Management software jointly developed and brought to market by the two companies has been adopted by users in China. Building on the existing R&D results, Lenovo and VMware will further optimize and enhance the performance of the products as the preferred choice for users in local market.
- For the cooperation on data center business, Lenovo and VMware will expand from computing virtualization to multi-dimensional data center-wide digitalization of computing, storage, networking and security, addressing the emerging diversified requirements of users for computing power.
- In edge computing, VMware will power the further implementation of Lenovo's intelligent edge solutions to extend cloud capabilities from the data center to edge, fundamentally addressing business needs across all industries more efficiently and securely.
- With the advent of a more flexible and efficient multi-cloud era, Lenovo and VMware will explore the multi-cloud opportunity in China for VMware Cross-Cloud services.
- Lenovo will also help drive VMware's subscription-based business in China to address the growing demand for on-demand scalability and out-of-the-box feature.

Deepen the cooperation of both parties
Lenovo and VMware launched a strategic OEM partnership as early as 2008 and have established a long-term strategic partnership since 2019. Both parties have closely collaborated on joint marketing, sales, and R&D, gaining reputation and customer recognition. Last November, Lenovo was invited to attend the VMware Partner Leadership Summit themed “Progressing in the Cloud Era” and was awarded the "VMware Partner of the Year".[1]
The close cooperation between Lenovo and VMware has yielded fruitful results. The ThinkAgile VX hyperconverged all-in-one built by both parties have provided the cutting-edge hyperconverged services to nearly 400 companies across industries in China. In software business, the two parties have provided excellent full-stack software-defined solutions to more than 2,000 customers in China. Lenovo and VMware jointly developed the HCI Portal, a hyper-converged management and control platform integrating software and hardware. It realizes localization, customization, and visualization integrated large-screen management. It has been used by more than 200 customers, covering finance, manufacturing, medical care, and government, education, and other industries. It has accumulated rich experience in software and hardware platform processing at the industry, product and R&D levels.
With the rapid development of 5G, industrial internet, cloud computing and AI, edge computing, cloud-network integration and subscription-based computing power are gaining popularity. In this wave of intelligent evolvement, Lenovo and VMware jointly deliver better products, services and solutions by complementing each other.
Both parties have deepened this strategic partnership based on good cooperation foundation.
