Based in Melville, NY, Angelica Giraldo is a Program Manager with the Broadcom Mainframe Software Division. Angelica partners with product management and the curriculum teams to understand and develop instructor-led education requirements and offerings that meet the needs of our customers, employees, and business partners.


Using her over 25 years of project and program management experience, Angelica remains focused on coordinating and delivering the Mainframe Software Division's instructor-led training and private training.


Angelica holds certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).

Angelica Giraldo

Chad Rikansrud is a Mainframe Security Researcher at Broadcom with over 30 years of experience in IT leadership within the financial services industry. He has held senior roles overseeing global datacenter operations, infrastructure, disaster recovery, and enterprise-wide System z storage. At Broadcom, Chad specializes in mainframe penetration testing, exploit development, and security assessments. He co-founded Evil Mainframe, the first hands-on mainframe penetration testing course, and is known for his groundbreaking work in mainframe hacking. Chad is a frequent speaker at major security conferences, including DEF CON, Black Hat, RSA, and SHARE. He is also recognized for his efforts to promote diversity in cybersecurity, collaborating with organizations like Black Girls Hack to mentor underrepresented groups. He shares his insights on mainframe security through blogs and industry publications.

David (Dave) Bond serves as one of the Mainframe Vitality Program Leaders. The Vitality Program is a strategic initiative focused on cultivating the next generation of mainframe professionals. With over 30 years of experience in mainframe computing, Dave brings deep expertise in systems programming, security compliance, database and systems architecture, and automation leadership.​ In addition to shaping the Mainframe Vitality Program, Dave actively engages with academic institutions and industry forums to promote mainframe careers and address the evolving skills landscape. He regularly contributes thought leadership to the mainframe ecosystem, discussing topics such as workforce succession planning and the future of mainframe computing.​ Daves commitment to building a resilient and skilled mainframe workforce underscores his role in ensuring the platform's continued relevance in today's hybrid IT environments.

David Bruce is Principal of Cybersecurity Product Marketing in the Mainframe Software Division at Broadcom, bringing over 45 years of experience in solving complex business challenges. With a unique blend of sales and marketing expertise, he has held senior roles at both IBM and Broadcom, focusing on aligning product strategy with customer needs. David is known for his ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate clear, actionable insights that enable better decisions. He is a frequent contributor to industry discussions on cybersecurity and compliance, emphasizing the importance of human-centric marketing in today's noisy landscape. David shares his insights regularly through blogs and podcasts.

David Bruce

David Stokes is Vice President of Product Management &amp; Strategy for the Mainframe Software Division at Broadcom. With more than 26 years of experience in enterprise software and in building, managing, and leading agile teams, he is well-versed in executing large-scale transformation efforts through cross-functional collaboration. David’s strategic and systems-level thinking – coupled with his ability to see beyond the horizon – enable him to effectively address long-term business needs. His focus is developing mission-critical mainframe offerings, including database, systems management, workload automation, storage, and application development products. David is committed to the mainframe as the greatest compute platform ever to exist and actively promotes innovation in the mainframe space. He speaks at industry conferences and is a board member of the Open Mainframe Project.

Elliot Jalley is a Senior Principal Product Manager at Broadcom’s Mainframe R&amp;D Centre in Prague and a Zowe Ambassador. With over 25 years of product management experience across multiple industries, Elliot is currently focused on helping organizations modernize and integrate mainframe operations with the rest of their IT infrastructure using an open-first approach. As a key contributor to the open source Zowe framework since its inception, Elliot collaborates with mainframe infrastructure teams to deliver greater automation and observability through modern interfaces and tools.

With over two decades of experience, he has led initiatives integrating OpenTelemetry into mainframe environments, enhancing hybrid observability through platforms like WatchTower and z/IRIS. Machhindra is recognized for his expertise in AI-driven operational intelligence, containerization strategies, and cross-platform telemetry. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, including IBM TechXchange and SHARE, and contributes thought leadership on modernizing mainframe ecosystems. Machhindra holds a degree in Computer Science from Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research.

Nicole Fagen is Director of Product Management at Broadcom, providing leadership for DevX and DevOps. In this role, she enables customers to meet business objectives by pioneering solutions that increase their team productivity, collaboration, and quality of deliverables. She is dedicated to designing user-friendly, easily deployable solutions enables customers to thrive while they design and code mission-critical business applications. In her previous role at Broadcom, Nicole led Product Management and Strategy for AI Ops and Automation. She empowered 30+ scrum teams in developing industry-leading solutions that simplify infrastructure management and achieve 99.999 or higher availability, and was responsible for the development and delivery of the WatchTower Platform. Nicole is a passionate advocate for the mainframe: she speaks frequently at industry conferences and creates value-rich new content on a consistent basis to enable the ecosystem.

Praveen Verma is a seasoned Product Manager at Broadcom Inc., with over 20 years of experience. He specializes in workload and workflow orchestration and automation, with a focus on platform engineering, observability, real-time data analytics, and cloud integration. He has spearheaded the development of REST APIs, OpenTelemetry-compliant telemetry formats, and modern authorization protocols. Praveen is known for applying design thinking to align user needs with business outcomes, and has taken leadership roles in multiple product management positions. Praveen holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, a Pragmatic Certified Product Manager certification, a Master of Design in Industrial Design, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. A frequent contributor to industry thought leadership, he writes on topics including OpenTelemetry and developer efficiency.

Samantha Buhler is a seasoned Product Management Executive at Broadcom, with over 20 years of experience in the mainframe industry. She began her career at IBM, where she played a key role in launching Db2 versions 8 and 9 and was instrumental in bringing zIIP engines to market. She also drove product innovation in Data and AI on IBM Z, including solutions for bringing analytics to the mainframe. At Broadcom, Samantha leads mainframe data management offerings, where she is known for uniting diverse teams to deliver out-of-the-box value. She is passionate about helping customers address the complexities associated with managing their mainframe resources; to do so, she injects domain expertise from the IBM Lab along with machine learning algorithms to process operational data. Additionally, Samantha is bringing the voice of customers into content that Broadcom delivers at various conferences.
