Combination of Bit9’s Trust-based Security Platform and the FireEye Malware Protection System will Deliver Comprehensive Protection Against Advanced Threats
WALTHAM, Mass.—February 25, 2013—Bit9, the leader in Trust-based Security, and FireEye®, Inc., the leader in stopping today’s new breed of cyber attacks, today announced a partnership to integrate Bit9’s real-time endpoint and server security solution with the FireEye Malware Protection System™. With this integration, when FireEye detects malware on an enterprise network, Bit9’s real-time endpoint sensor and recorder automatically confirms the location and scope of the threat, accelerating incident response and remediation.
This initiative gives organizations a comprehensive and effective protection against advanced threats and malware by providing:
- Real-time endpoint sensor and continuous recorder with next-generation threat protection to automatically confirm and prioritize alerts.
- Immediate enterprise-wide visibility into all systems infected with modern cyberattacks.
- Automatic configuration for trust-based endpoint and server protection using events identified by FireEye.
- Immediate access to any file on any system across the enterprise to automatically determine the possibility of sophisticated attacks.
“Integrating the FireEye Malware Protection System with the Bit9 Trust-based Security Platform will provide a new level of enterprise protection against advanced threats and targeted attacks,” said Patrick Morley, chief executive officer of Bit9. “For organizations using FireEye, this integration with Bit9 will increase the value of their FireEye investment. Customers using the Bit9 solution will be able to deploy FireEye and benefit from a single view in Bit9 that will enable them to swiftly and accurately respond to threats to their network and the devices connected to it.”
The integration will provide customers with improved security, reduced operational effort and accelerated incident response times.
“FireEye is pleased to work with Bit9 to offer our mutual customers a comprehensive end-to-end security solution that combines our industry-leading capabilities in network and endpoint security,” said Dave DeWalt, chairman and chief executive officer of FireEye. “Increasingly, organizations want to modernize their security strategies to counter the relentless tide of advanced threats coming from nation-states, hacktivists and cybercriminals. This integration is an important step toward helping enterprises build a better defense against today’s attackers.”
Bit9 announced its strategic initiative for integrating endpoint and network security in a separate news release issued today. The company will announce full details of its integrated solution with FireEye in the second quarter of 2013.
Both companies are exhibiting at the RSA Conference 2013 in San Francisco Feb. 25 through Feb. 28; Bit9 in booth #545 and FireEye in booth #1646.
