BTB Security uses Bit9 + Carbon Black to rapidly detect and respond to attacks
and accelerate remediation efforts for enterprise customers

PHILADELPHIA—November 7, 2014—BTB Security, an industry-leading information security and digital forensics organization, today announced it has joined the “Bit9 + Carbon Black Connect” Alliance Program as both a managed security service provider (MSSP) and incident response (IR) partner. Bit9® + Carbon Black® is the leader in endpoint threat prevention, detection and response.

As a “Connect” partner, BTB Security uses Bit9 + Carbon Black Bit9 for continuous, real-time monitoring of enterprise endpoints (laptops, desktops and servers) for signs of malicious activity. Using data from Bit9 + Carbon Black, the BTB security team quickly determines if an organization’s endpoints have been compromised, how they were compromised and how best to eradicate the threat.

“This partnership puts our organization in an excellent position to better serve our customers,” said Ron Schlecht, Jr., founder of BTB Security. “The combination of industry-leading technologies from Bit9 + Carbon Black with our expert team empowers BTB to prevent, detect and respond to advanced threats quickly and effectively, which will benefit our customers greatly.”

BTB Security has extensive experience in helping many types of organizations achieve the next level of security. BTB’s Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) have experience ranging from helping Fortune 500 companies secure large and complex environments to advising small organizations looking to understand how to secure their key systems.

BTB Security also has a team of Certified Computer Examiners (CCE) with real-world experience in conducting forensic analysis and incident response on a wide range of incidents ranging from violations against company policy to suspected system compromise from targeted and malware attacks.

“Today, advanced, targeted attacks are more prevalent—and potentially more damaging—than ever,” said Tom Barsi, Bit9 + Carbon Black’s vice-president of business development. “In order to protect against these threats, organizations need three things: the right people, the right processes and the right technology. This partnership provides companies looking to improve their security posture with all three.”
