Burt Toma leads the Tanzu product portfolio, providing vision and direction for the product roadmap and Tanzu’s go-to-market strategy.
Toma is focused on the development of software solutions that help customers accelerate app development and delivery. With over 20 years of experience leading product teams in the software industry, Toma is passionate about simplifying the application development process, and magnifying the effectiveness of IT platform engineering.
Prior to Broadcom, Toma was Vice President and General Manager of Cloud Automation at VMware where he led cloud operations, infrastructure, and security for VMware’s Aria Automation product line. He has also held leadership and product roles at startups and established firms, including BMC Software, MokaFive, and Opsware (acquired by HP).
Toma holds a BS and MS from MIT, and an MBA from University of California at Berkeley. He resides in the California Bay Area with his wife Christina.
