The new program reflects a broader mission, helping small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) modernize their IT environments and unlock the full value of the VMware Cloud Foundation platform through simplified private cloud adoption. TD SYNNEX will serve as the charter distributor for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) launch, with additional distributors to follow as the program scales across the region.
Tailored SME Solutions for Private Cloud Adoption
Private cloud offers scalability, security, and flexibility while addressing the pressing business issues of data privacy, security and compliance and cost predictability. Yet many SMEs lack the resources and expertise to fully realize its benefits. VMware Modernization Services bridges this gap by delivering partner-designed and partner-delivered consultative service packages that simplify and accelerate VMware solution deployment.
At the same time, the program enables distribution partners with service delivery capabilities to design and attach white-glove implementation, upgrade, and modernization services directly at the point of sale, assisting with customer success and fuller utilization of the VMware features. This simplifies the buying process and injects professional services at the point of sale to ensure a well-balanced service approach to delivering the VMware software portfolio.
How the VMware Modernization Services Program Works
The VMware Modernization Services program is designed to leverage the expertise of distributors and the network Expert Advantage partners to deliver value to small and medium-sized businesses.
Distributors play a central role in providing entry-level VMware solution functionality and engaging EAP partners for more complex implementations as customers scale their operations. The services focus on three key areas:
- Assessment: SMEs can assess their current IT setup and readiness for private cloud deployment using VMware tools like Health Analyzer (VHSA) and Optimization Assessment (VOA). These tools help identify infrastructure gaps and areas for improvement.
- Implementation: Distributors and EAP partners support SMEs in upgrading their vSphere environments to VCF. Implementation services often include disaster recovery with VMware Live Site Recovery and vSAN integration for better storage performance.
- Expansion: As SMEs grow, they can easily scale their private cloud with features like vSAN storage, deduplication, and compression to meet their needs.
