As I meet with our customers, a common theme is emerging: how can Broadcom help us attain our pressing business objectives as fast as possible - full stop. Not only is VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) critical to customers' success but getting it fully deployed is even more important. When fully deployed, customers can be more agile and innovative while mitigating risk, reducing total cost of ownership and attaining higher levels of efficiency, resilience and security.

The value and expertise of our services partners is paramount

My last blog centered around the importance of Services partners in making customers’ modern private cloud a reality with the properly trained resources in place to adopt a cloud operating model enabled by both technology and process enhancements. I went further to say that our Expert Advantage consulting services partners are at the forefront of driving this transformation with customers of all sizes across the Americas. I truly believe that we can accelerate customers’ “time to value” when Broadcom, partners and customers are working together to deploy VCF.

Krish Prasad, General Manager, VCF Division at Broadcom, emphasized the role of our partners in his most recent blog, stating: “When I meet with customers, I get questions such as “How can you help us with our cloud transformation and accelerate our adoption of VCF?” about as often as I get questions about new capabilities. We need our partners to help us scale and play a bigger role in not only selling, but also in deploying VCF-based private clouds and making our customers successful.”

Services Partners are leaning In

Today, partners that lead with services are seeing success. And at Broadcom, we are expecting our partners to lean in and be the services delivery arm for us in most of our accounts. Collective expertise with our platform, hardware and the necessary integration and process enhancements is where partners shine in delivering the full experience for our customers.

It’s incumbent on us to make sure that our partners are well prepared and knowledgeable on our technology, acutely attuned to customer environments as well as have the resources to execute the deployment of VCF for mutual success. Over the past year and a half, Broadcom has made significant services investments supporting partners. First, the Broadcom PSO/Strategic and Corporate enablement teams are driving new tools, resources and joint partner enablement activities designed to align and share best practices for services delivery. Next, we are co-creating materials, executing cross-training events and making Broadcom internal tools and resources available to Partners to improve VCF full-stack delivery. Collectively this improves both customer and partner success. Globally, we want to ensure that our partners have the resources and support necessary to scale their business across the regions they serve.

We are making great progress

The partner strategy that Broadcom’s Brian Moats, Senior Vice President, Global Commercial and Partner Sales laid out at the beginning of 2025 is taking hold and working! We have seen that when we work hand in hand with partners in our most strategic customers as well as asking our partners to lead with a huge number of our corporate customers - everyone wins. There are so many stories to share, but here are just a few real examples.

  • An American multinational finance corporation who is one of the largest banks globally, worked with us to deploy one of the largest VCF-based private clouds in the world, hosting over 50% of their mission critical applications. Our Broadcom architects, consultants and TAMs work hand in hand with multiple services partners as part of an extended team of over two dozen resources who work to constantly expand the capabilities, scale, and security of their cloud to meet customer goals.
  • An American contract research organization that conducts clinical trials on behalf of its pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients was looking for help to get more value out of their private cloud through automation and integration with existing systems. Working primarily with a partner service provider over the last few months, they’ve already developed a comprehensive adoption roadmap aligned to their needs, started work on day-2 integrations with Aria Automation, and are already moving on to setting up critical alerts using Aria Operations.
  • A leading US-based law firm working with our partner to implement a cyber resilient Virtual Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform. They worked with the law firm to build a cost-effective VCF migration plan and expand deployment, with minimal downtime. Additionally, the partner helped the firm adapt its existing vDefend Firewall rules to ensure full support for a global NSX/VCF Multi-site deployment. This redesign allowed for a more secure, scalable environment to support the firm’s operations. Throughout the entire migration and expansion process, the team worked in parallel with the customer’s production environment, ensuring business continuity with only a single moment of planned downtime.

Many customers are actively moving to VCF 5.2, the latest version of the platform, to modernize Infrastructure, deliver a cloud experience for developers and enhance, and security and resilience. Customers are also starting to think about their path to VCF 9.0, which is now in beta. To support this, Broadcom has worked with partners to develop a Lifecycle Services team, primarily staffed with partner resources, that operates like an upgrade factory. To date, more than 400 customers have taken advantage of this service, supporting the upgrade of over 45K hosts, and decreasing the time to upgrade a single host from 15 hours to just 8 hours.

These are just some of the many great examples of what’s been happening as we work to deploy VCF across our customer base. You can read more Expert Advantage Partner Customer Success stories on the Broadcom Partner INSIGHTS platform.

Going forward

Underpinning all of these examples is an emphasis on transparency, communications and knowledge sharing. As I said earlier, when we all work together, we all win. We have much ahead of us and I know that Expert Advantage Professional Services Partners will continue to be critical to our strategy and success. Near term we will continue services investments and partner enablement as we prepare for VCF 9.0 as well as the end of support for vSphere 7.0.

At Broadcom, we are committed to delivering innovation and ensuring that our customers successfully derive value from their Broadcom investment. With our Professional Services Partners leaning in, we are well positioned to ensure our customers’ success.
