Broadcom Knights now serve multiple Broadcom software divisions

In the past year, the Broadcom Knights program has achieved unprecedented growth—doubling its membership and expanding its reach across multiple Broadcom software divisions, including Enterprise Security (Symantec and Carbon Black), Agile Operations (former CA enterprise portfolio), VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), and Tanzu. This surge of new talent includes the introduction of VCF Knights, deeply skilled technical professionals dedicated to serving VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) customers. By welcoming these specialists to the community, Broadcom has empowered its Knights program to deliver broader expertise and even greater real-world value to customers facing increasingly complex IT infrastructure challenges.

Delivering More Value for Customers

Now numbering more than 400 members —and projected to double again within a year—the Broadcom Knights program recognizes these elite partner professionals who are selected not only for their deep knowledge and technical mastery of Broadcom software solutions, but also for a proven record of leadership and customer service.

For years Knights have delivered proven value to customers. Michael Böhm, a Senior Solutions Architect for MAXXYS who has been a Broadcom Knight since 2023, explains, “As a Broadcom Knight, I am considered almost an extension of the Broadcom team. I’m invited to exclusive events, get the first look at product releases, and can tap directly into Broadcom’s subject-matter experts. This approach enables us to support our customers with better advice, faster problem-solving, and stay in total alignment with the latest Broadcom solution improvements.”

For customers, working with a Knight means immediate, on-the-ground access to proven experts who know how to leverage Broadcom software in complex real-world environments. Fabian Lenz, President & Partner, Comdivision Consulting GmbH writes: “You get someone who’s been there, built that, and learned the lessons before your project even starts.” That experience, coupled with rapid access to Broadcom experts and roadmap insights, helps customers innovate and troubleshoot at speed.

What Sets a Broadcom Knight Apart

Broadcom’s partner certification operates on three levels: Proven Professional (foundational); Certified Expert (advanced); and Knight (top technical status). Knights are celebrated not only for their skills, but for their ongoing commitment to customer success. They earn exclusive benefits from Broadcom—specialized training, early access to product updates, premium networking events, and continuous enablement opportunities. Key updates for the VCF Broadcom Knights program this year include:

  • Expanded Certification Requirements: New certifications for VCF 9.x, including Proven Professional (PP) and Certified Expert (CE) roles, with updated exams and simulations.
  • Specialization Tracks: Introduction of VCF 9 "Specializations" (Networking, Storage, Automation, etc.) replacing standalone components like vSphere.
  • Solution Lab Updates: Knights must validate two VCF 9 use cases in Solution Labs by May 2026.
  • Integration with Partner Programs: Knights now contribute to the Expert Advantage Program requirements for VMware partners.
  • Recognition and Promotion: Enhanced profiles on the INSIGHTS platform, blogs, and speaking opportunities at events like VMUG.
  • Global Enablement Events: Exclusive Knights tracks at events like Lisbon (October 2025) and VMware Las Vegas.
  • TechFluencers Program: Focused on VCF specializations like Private AI, DSM, and Kubernetes, with quarterly reviews and enablement sessions.

Knights also directly shape Broadcom’s products—they are required to validate use cases in the company’s Solution Labs, and their insights are regularly fed back to product teams. This kind of deep collaboration ensures Broadcom partners and customers benefit from practical, field-tested experience, not theory or guesswork.

Fostering a Thriving Community

Being a Knight isn’t just about technical acumen—it’s about building relationships and driving community advancement. Knights are not operating in silos. Broadcom hosts both in-person and virtual Broadcom Knights events throughout the year, as well as promoting ongoing collaboration in the Knights portal. In addition, the INSIGHTS and Broadcom News/Knights platforms provide opportunities for knowledge-sharing, profiles, and upcoming opportunities to engage with the industry’s most recognized technical influencers.

Sascha Schwunk, CRO, Comdivision Consulting GmbH and a Broadcom Knight with a specialty in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), highlighted this community focus when reflecting on his participation in one of the Broadcom Knights events earlier this year: “Connecting with fellow Knights—hearing firsthand about trends, challenges, and what’s working—creates a feedback loop that benefits both Broadcom and our customers. These relationships go well beyond a single project or event.”

A Trusted Resource for the Road Ahead

When choosing a Broadcom partner, customers are learning that an organization staffed with a Knight is positioned to deliver the greatest level of insight and support to the organizations they serve.  Knights act as an extension of Broadcom’s technical leadership, bringing the highest standards of quality and innovation to every project.

With the evolving IT landscape and new technologies constantly emerging, Broadcom Knights remain the first stop for organizations looking to stay agile, secure, and ahead of the curve.
