A blog series about how Broadcom partners are delivering innovation, efficiency, and business value to customers around the world

In the beginning of 2025, Broadcom committed to shifting professional services to a partner-led motion. This shift represents a significant opportunity for our partners to lead and deliver critical implementation, consulting, and optimization services to customers. By taking a “holistic approach” to serving our joint customers, Broadcom partners are delivering measurable business outcomes.

A Holistic Approach for Long-Term Success

In a recent blog, “How ITQ is Driving Value with VMware Cloud Foundation,” Stefan Vieregge, IT Architect at ITQ, shared how he was able to help a leading German software provider maximize the value of their technology investments while reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by 33%. Vieregge credits this “holistic approach” for the successful outcome. “Before we begin a project, we first do a strategy workshop with the customer. We discuss their IT strategy, business values, and desired outcomes. We are committed to finding the right solution for the customer,” said Vieregge.

Broadcom’s emphasis on training and enablement ensures that partners like ITQ and Novacoast have the technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions. “Out-of-the-box solutions don’t fit every customer 100%,” said Darin Sanders, CRO, Novacoast. “If you have the right technical talent that can make the product do what they need it to do, you’re in business.”

Broadcom Knights is a core component of Broadcom’s partner-enablement program. First founded by Symantec (part of Broadcom), Broadcom Knights, an invitation-only recognition and enablement program for elite partner technical professionals, has expanded over the years to support Broadcom’s enterprise and mainframe software portfolio and now also supports Broadcom’s VMware solutions.

“As a Broadcom Knight, we have direct lines to engineering and product management. We’re considered Broadcom employees, invited to special events and given first views of new releases.  It has a lot of benefits for both partners and our customers,” said a MAXXYS Senior Solution Architect.

Ultimately, “our main goal is to become a trusted advisor to the customer. I feel that I really help customers secure their environment,” said David Ramazetti, Director of Security Services, Novacoast. Next, Ramazetti, who was the company’s first Broadcom Knight, shares how he and his team were able to significantly improve a customer’s security posture.

A Trusted Advisor in Cybersecurity

Broadcom solution provider partner Novacoast, an international cybersecurity company specializing in IT services and software development, recently worked with a major publicly traded energy company based in Louisiana. A Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) user, the organization struggled with a staggering 75% false positive rate. “False positives provide a high cost to organizations. First, there is an operational cost – if you have a security operations center and you're sending your security analysts 10,000 alerts versus 100 alerts a month, you need more staffing. Second, exposure – the longer it takes your security team to sort through the thousands of false positive alerts, the longer the adversary is in your network, and your data has been exposed,” explained Ramazetti.

To understand what was happening, “we first decided to do a health check of the system and then make recommendations to try to get those false positives down,” said Ramazetti. “We quickly discovered that the organization wasn’t using all their detection capabilities such as Object Character Recognition (OCR) and Exact Data Matching. We helped them implement these and other features.” When asked to account for the underutilization of the Symantec solution, Ramazetti pointed to the organization’s poor staffing. “I think it was lack of time and education on their part that they weren’t using the tools' full features,” said Ramazetti.

The results were transformative: false positives were reduced to 8%, detection capabilities expanded, and operational efficiency significantly improved.

At Novacoast’s recommendation, the company also hired a Designated Support Engineer (DSE). “Our DSE provides 40 hours of monthly dedicated support to this customer, continuously maturing the system and implementing new features,” said Darin Sanders, CRO, Novacoast. Ultimately, “our main goal is to become a trusted advisor to the customer. I feel that I really help customers secure their environment,” said Ramazetti. This trust leads to expanded partnerships.Beyond help with Symantec DLP, the customer has engaged Novacoast for additional security projects, recognizing their expertise and commitment to delivering value.

Investments for the Future
