Known as one of tech's most dynamic leaders, Hock Tan has been Broadcom’s President and Chief Executive Officer since 2006. Under his leadership, Broadcom has grown into a global infrastructure technology leader that designs, develops and supplies semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions to customers around the world. He cares deeply about STEM education and has made substantial donations to autism and disabilities-related research centers at Cornell University as well as both of his alma maters – MIT and Harvard University. Through the Broadcom blog, he enjoys sharing his experiences meeting with customers and partners, as well as his insights on how technology and innovation continue to connect and transform the world.

Kangwarn is responsible for driving solution development and architecture for the VeloCloud division of Broadcom. He initially joined VMware through its acquisition of cloud-delivered SD-WAN leader, VeloCloud Networks, where he managed its worldwide SD-WAN as a Solution Architect and Systems Engineer. Prior to returning to VMware, Kangwarn took a role as Director of Systems Engineering at Pensando Systems (acquired by AMD), a startup that pioneered Data Processing Units (DPUs), working with some of the largest cloud providers and enterprises to build and deploy services based on Pensando programmable DPU/SmartNIC technology.  Kangwarn has over 20 years of IT experience building and taking several new and innovative solutions to both service providers and enterprises. He held various positions in engineering, products, marketing, and sales at technology companies including Cisco, FireEye, VeloCloud, VMware, Broadcom, and Pensando Systems. He still keeps himself fairly hands on, keeping abreast of cool and new technologies and holding certifications such as CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator and Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert. Kangwarn holds a Master of Electrical Engineering degree from Cornell University.

Krish Prasad is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Broadcom’s VMware Cloud Foundation Division where he oversees the company’s multi-cloud Infrastructure software portfolio that spans Private Clouds and Clouds from Service Provider partners and Hyperscalers.

Before joining Broadcom, Mr. Prasad served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the VMware Cloud Infrastructure Business Group (CIBG) and previously led the VMware vSphere business. He drove the strategy, roadmap and delivery of the SDDC cloud platform that powers VMware Cloud and led a wide range of functions including Product Management, Engineering, Cloud Operations, SRE and Product Marketing. 

Mr. Prasad has more than 30 years of experience in the enterprise software business across both R&amp;D and general management. Prior to VMware, he held senior and executive management positions with HPE and BMC Software.

Michael Coté studies how large organizations get better at building software to run better and grow their business. His books Changing Mindsets, Monolithic Transformation, and The Business Bottleneck cover these topics. He’s been an industry analyst at RedMonk and 451 Research, done corporate strategy and M&amp;A, and was a programmer. He also co-hosts several podcasts, including Software Defined Talk.

Michael Coté

Purnima Padmanabhan is Vice President and General Manager of Broadcom’s Tanzu Division. Prior to joining Broadcom, she was Senior Vice President and General Manager of VMware’s Modern Applications &amp; Management Business and was responsible for application modernization, cloud native application development and multi-cloud management. She previously led the company’s Cloud Management Business.

Ms. Padmanabhan has extensive experience building and launching innovative products in cloud infrastructure, security and enterprise mobility. Prior to joining VMware, she was CEO of Cavirin, a cloud security company, where she drove a turnaround. She was previously COO of MokaFive, a desktop virtualization company, and was responsible for global product operations.

Ms. Padmanabhan holds an MBA from Stanford University and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from University of Southern California.

Purnima Padmanabhan

Sanjay Uppal is Vice President and General Manager of Broadcom’s VeloCloud Division. Mr. Uppal joined Broadcom from VMware where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of VMware’s Service Provider and Edge business, delivering Networking, Security and Compute services at the Edge to telecom and enterprise customers.

Mr. Uppal was CEO and Co-founder of VeloCloud Networks, leading the SDWAN company through fast growth and an acquisition by VMware in 2017. Earlier, he was President and COO of OnMobile Global, Vice President of the Application Networking business at Citrix, and CEO of Caymas Systems.

Mr. Uppal holds an M.S. in Management of Technology from Stanford University, an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.
