Sylvain Cazard is the senior vice president and general manager for VMware's business in Asia Pacific and Japan. In this role, Cazard is responsible for VMware's sales, business strategy and services across the region. He is adept in executing go-to-market strategy across a multi-product and multi-cloud platform supporting digital transformation of enterprises and believes that a customer centric behavior is critical for an organization’s growth.
Prior to this, Cazard was vice president for Central EMEA, responsible for driving business growth, sales and operations across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Russia/CIS countries, Israel and Eastern Europe. Previously, he successfully led VMware’s software-defined data center business (SDDC), following three years as country manager, France and several years managing global accounts.
With more than 20 years’ hi-tech experience in Europe, Cazard started his career with SAP Business Objects in Europe, progressing through various management and sales positions in France and also as regional manager, Iberia.
Cazard graduated from the École Centrale with a degree in engineering, mechanics and computer science. He also holds an executive MBA in general management from Stanford University.
