Cade Martinez is a graduate of the Spring 2023 Vitality cohort. He currently resides in Chandler, Arizona and gained his degree in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. As someone who is used to change, he was excited to challenge himself and experience the gripping world of mainframe.

Emre Tunar is the Head of Application Security for Mainframe Software Solutions at Broadcom, where he leads the strategy and execution of secure software development practices across the company’s mainframe software portfolio. With over 24 years at Broadcom, Emre brings deep expertise in enterprise software, mainframe modernization, mainframe security, and application security. Throughout his career, Emre has spearheaded the development of next-generation mainframe common services and played a pivotal role in expanding Broadcom’s mainframe security offerings. Emre founded the secure software development program and the security champions initiative within the mainframe software division, driving a strong culture of security in the organization. An accomplished engineer, Emre is also the holder of a U.S. patent for a system and method for a common storage object model.

Michael Coté studies how large organizations get better at building software to run better and grow their business. His books Changing Mindsets, Monolithic Transformation, and The Business Bottleneck cover these topics. He’s been an industry analyst at RedMonk and 451 Research, done corporate strategy and M&amp;A, and was a programmer. He also co-hosts several podcasts, including Software Defined Talk.

Michael Dickson is the Head of Brand and Product Marketing for the Broadcom Mainframe Software Division. He brings 20+ years of leadership across technology marketing and offering management in both corporate and startup environments. An innovator at heart, Michael brings energy and vision to the companies and industries he has supported, equipping them with the voice and strategies to move markets. He specializes on the intersection of enterprise systems, Software-as-a-Service, and advanced tech markets such as cloud, Linux, AI, analytics, and blockchain. Michael is a frequent contributor to industry thought leadership, writing on topics including mainframe modernization, hybrid cloud strategies, and the evolving role of enterprise IT in digital transformation. Additionally, Michael is a dedicated Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&amp;I) ambassador, advocating for inclusive practices within the tech industry.

Purnima Padmanabhan is Vice President and General Manager of Broadcom’s Tanzu Division. Prior to joining Broadcom, she was Senior Vice President and General Manager of VMware’s Modern Applications &amp; Management Business and was responsible for application modernization, cloud native application development and multi-cloud management. She previously led the company’s Cloud Management Business.

Ms. Padmanabhan has extensive experience building and launching innovative products in cloud infrastructure, security and enterprise mobility. Prior to joining VMware, she was CEO of Cavirin, a cloud security company, where she drove a turnaround. She was previously COO of MokaFive, a desktop virtualization company, and was responsible for global product operations.

Ms. Padmanabhan holds an MBA from Stanford University and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from University of Southern California.
